Camping is a travel adventure where you don’t sleep in a hotel. So, you have to have a tent.
I went camping at Magalawa Island in Palauig, Zambales with my Mom and her officemates. There were also other kids, too, Gabi and Dani.
I don’t like it. Camping is very hot. Because there is no electricity, we didn’t have a fan and we didn’t have light. I couldn’t sleep because it was really, really hot. It’s also scary. I heard different sounds during the night. And most of all, the ants crawled inside the tent. I hate ants!
I don’t want to go camping again.
But I liked the beach a lot.

My son Daniel is also starting his travel bog on our website under kids blog. He is turning 8 in November.
He read your post today and laughed.
Thank you very much for sharing and we will be watching your blog from Budapest, Hungary or South France where we are moving to.
Take care and keep writing,
Eva and Daniel Hamori!
@ Eva & Daniel – thanks so much! my son find it amusing that i blog and people from different parts of the world leave comments on my posts. so i thought of coming up with a blog where he could write, too. he’ll be glad to know that someone from your part of the world left a comment for him. will show this to him when he gets home from school.

WOW! THANK YOU!!! Start your blog now, Daniel!
:D
My nine year old daughter also loves to travel and we also tried camping. It was in February 2009 when she was just 7 years old. Except for the caretaker (who lives on the on the other side of Digyo Island, Leyte), we were the only ones who stayed for the night (aside from the dogs and chickens).
She also didn’t like it because there was no electricity and she easily got bored.
It was her first, but I hope not the last, time to go camping.
When and where are you gonna go camping again with your daughter? I think, someday, I will camp again with Mom!
we’re going to siquijor this november. i will be bringing a tent to stay during the day but still staying in a resort to sleep in at night
you can read about our camping on a deserted island at www://batangala.blogspot.com/2009/02/in-search-digyo-island-inopacan-leyte.html

Awww… but at least you had friends and your PSP to keep you company.
Find ways how to massacre the ants… Just kidding!
Haha! Right now, if anyone asks him to join a camping spree, he would say agad, “NO!” Hahaha! Na-trauma ata sa ants.
Hi Francis, good job on your post! tell your mommy to book you in a hotel next time so you’ll have fun fun time and no more ants!
Haha! Sayang naman ang once-in-a-lifetime experience of camping. Once in a while, it’s okay to experience nature… Wala nga lang sana langgam. LOL
